Exercises To Lose Flabby Arms

flabby arms on a lady

The following list of arm flab exercises are meant to help you do one thing, transform your arms and tighten up your flabby arms. Let's face it, for a lot of us, this is a problem area that is hard to cover up, especially during the summer months.

Often referred to as batwings, bingo wings or back arm fat, this part of our body can sometimes be hard to tone and tighten up. This can be attributed to a few things. Firstly, this part of our body rarely gets used. Think about it, when was the last time you tried walking on your hands? When was the last time you pushed yourself off the ground? Flabby arms develop due to lack of targeted and consistent movement.

As much as I hate to say it, arm flab is my sign that I am getting out of shape, more so than belly fat. When arm flab starts to develop, two things are generally way out of whack. Firstly, my diet is way off. When arm flab starts to show up, my diet is usually high in sodium, processed sugar and saturated fats.

Secondly, I'm not exercising or working out. Soft and saggy arm flab ONLY starts to develop when there is a lack of targeted arm flab exercises (or movement). There needs to be a stimulus that causes your arm muscles to tighten, tone and develop. The only way to get rid of soft and saggy arms is to use consistent, targeted exercises to lose flabby arms.

Here is what suggest to get the most from these arm flab exercises. If you are just starting out or have been out of action from working out for awhile, pick two arm flab exercises that fit your preference and perform those every second day for the first two weeks. For example, pick lying dumbbell triceps extensions and triceps kickbacks. Try doing the following:

Lying dumbbell triceps extensions: 2 sets of 12 repetitions Triceps kickbacks: 2 sets of 12 repetitions

Perform these two exercises to lose arm flab every second day for two weeks. After the second week, add another exercise such as the wall triceps extension exercise and perform another 2 sets of 12 repetitions for the wall triceps extension.
