In this article here, I gave you one of the BEST exercises for flabby under arms (in my humble opinion, of course). Today, I want to take your under arm development one step further. I want to give you two special exercises that will literally, transform your under arms from flabby to firm.

What makes these two under arm exercise so effective is that they target the under arm muscles (called the triceps) directly. When it comes to results, it only makes sense to use the absolute best exercises for this purpose, right?

You see, our under arms are basically hinges. What are under arm muscles (triceps muscles) do is to either push our body away from something or extend our hands away from our body.

Do me a favour and try this. Stand up and bring your arms to your chest. Next, I want you to extend your arms downward while keeping your arms stationary and at your sides. Simply extend your arms downwards. Can you feel your under arm muscles contract?

When your arms are extended downwards, as in the image above, the movement activates your under arm muscles. Try it again, and feel the backs of your upper arms contract. This is the exact type of movement needed to really firm up your flabby under arms. 

Now, to take this under arm movement one step further and make it much more effective, we are going to use a simple trick and make gravity our friend.

I want you to bend at the waist until your upper body is slightly above parallel. Row your arms upwards until your upper arms are parallel to your upper body (keep your arms bent at 90 degrees).  Next, extend your hand upwards until your arms are straight and parallel with your upper body. Hold for a second.

Tell me, what do you feel in your under arms? Do you feel your under arm muscles tightening? That's targeted muscle contraction and it is exactly where you want to feel it. This is the feeling of results happening!

This exercise is called the under arm kickback (or triceps kickbacks if you want to get fancy) and it is one of the BEST exercises for firming up flabby under arms.

When you are ready, try this with light dumbbells. Using resistance (such as dumbbells) will vastly improve your results. Here is a video of me using a pair of dumbbells for this great exercise for flabby under arms

I suggest using this exercise as part of your normal workout routine and try doing 1 to 2 sets of 12 repetitions. If you are doing this exercise, by itself, try performing it every second day.

Double Your Results...Doing This!

What if I told you, there is a little trick you can do to basically, double your under arm firming results? Yep, with a small variation, you can double your results. The best thing about this variation is you will spend just as much time doing one exercise BUT you will double your results. Why spend the time to do one exercise when you can spend the same amount of time with a super, effective exercise that will double your results. It's all about training smart, folks. It's' never about quantity, it's about quality.

What we are going to do is add some "secret sauce" into the exercise and perform what are called, straight arm kickbacks. In essence, you are going to get a much, much bigger bang for your buck, as they say. This will almost double your under arm firming results.

Here's what you are going to do.

First, get into position by bending at the waist until you are just above parallel with the ground. Your arms should be fully extended, holding the dumbbells.

Next, with your arms straight. Kick both dumbbells upwards, until your arms are parallel with your upper body. Pause and hold for a moment.

Next, bend at the elbow and slowly lower the dumbbells until they are at 90 degree angle. Pause for a moment.

Extend your arms back and upwards until they are parallel with your upper body (or close to it) and hold for a moment.

Lastly, with your arms straight, lower both dumbbells until your arms are fully extended.

The trick is to take the absolute best underarm firming exercises, and combining them to produce an even better exercise. It doesn't take anymore time to perform this combination exercise as the first exercise, but it basically doubles your results. 

This is one of many, many exercise combinations that you can do to firm up your flabby under arms. Traditional exercises are fine but the real secret is to get creative and combine single movement exercises to produce combination movements to produce the BEST results!
